Rejsefelle søges til Spanien 24 Maj 2017 1 uge

Jeg har fået Laura Benito Bustamante som er eksper på blomster og dyreliv som guide. Jeg søger rejsefeller 24 maj - 31 maj 2017. Pris samlet Eur 2000 + ekstra til nogle måltider + fly. Hvis vi er fx 2-3 divideres prisen med det antal. En bil har plads til 4 persioner max. Program: Day 1: Bilbao- Montaña Palentina

After arriving to Bilbao Airport you will meet you guide Laura. On our approx. 2 hours’ drive to the small village Aguilar de Campo we can take lunch on a roadside restaurant. After lunch we will visit some places along the river Pisuerga. Here we will find the first orchids and birds. We can find Little Eagle, Short-toed Eagle, Cetti´s Warbler, Melodious Warbler, Cirl Bunting among others.

Finally, we will arrive to our accommodation “Piedraabierta” a familiar hotel placed in the town of San Martin de Perapertú (26Km far from Aguilar). Small and remote village situated in the hearth of Montaña Palentina Natural Park. This will be our base during 4 nights.

Day 2: Las Tuerces

We will spend our first full day in Montaña Palentina exploring the Natural Reserve of Las Tuerces. Not far from our hotel, Las Tuerces is an interesting place that is included in the Geopark of Las Loras. We will spend all day exploring the area, looking for orchids, plants, raptors and butterflies… and enjoying the incredible landscape and the amazing geological formations. If we are lucky we can find 20+ species of orchids including many species of Ophrys.

Day 3,4: exploring Montaña Paletina NaturalPark

With a special permission we will spend two days exploring the Natural Park

The Hotel lie on the doorstep of a truly wild landscape, comprising high mountain ridges rich in alpine flora, jagged crags and cliffs, and vast oak and beech forests which support a high percentage of the endangered eastern population of the European Brown Bear and also the Iberian wolf. These magnificent creatures are notoriously difficult to see, roaming elusively over vast tracts of difficult terrain. Nevertheless, we do stand a small chance of a sighting if we put in the effort at dawn and dusk, when this animal is most active. We will use 4-wheel drive vehicles to take us to remote view-points for optional opportunities to scan from the ridges for Bears, Wolves, Wild Boar and other mammals. In day times we can search for birds as Egyptian Vulture, Rock Thrush and Blue Throat. If we are lucky we can find the very special orchid “Nigrita”, the fields will be full of blooming flowers and some are endemic to the area.

Day 5: Transfer Montaña Palentina-Picos de Europa

We will spend the morning in Montaña Palentina, and then we start drive down to the Valley of Liebana in the Picos de Europa. We will drive to Fuente Dé, stopping several times on the way to explore the area, looking out for various plants, birds and butterflies including such species as Blue-spot Hairstreak, Long-tailed and Lang’s Short-tailed Blue, Red-underwing and Lulworth Skippers and Knapweed and Spotted Fritillaries … and explore some of the interesting areas.

On the end on the road lies Fuente Dé surrounded by a dramatic mountain walls the raise 900 meter straight to the air. We will take a walk in the nearby forest and find the orchid Orchis langei.

We will drive 4 km back on the road to the small village Espinama for check in at our small cosy hotel for two nights.

Day 6: Espinama- Aliva

In early morning we will drive by a small mountain road directly to “puertos de Aliva” Once we arrive to Aliva we will start walk (1 hour) to exploring the high alpine zone trying to find the 3 most interesting birds in the area Wallcreeper, Snowfinch and Alpine Accentor. On the way back we should keep an eye to the air for Griffon vultures, Golden Eagle, and if we are lucky Lammergaier! Other birds in the area is Mountain Pipit, Alpine Chough and Red-billed Chough. We will see a lots of alpine flowers and birds a few butterflies.

We will have time for a coffee or maybe lunch in the small mountain hotel before we start to drive back. Along the rough road we have small change for Citril finch, rock bunting and grey wagtail are more common.

In the lush meadows lining the Rio Nevandi. The fields are usually full of orchids (up to 10 species); Heath Spotted, Fragrant, Pink Butterfly, Burnt-tip, and various Serapias and Ophrys species. A large number of butterfly species are possible in this area.

In the section of Beech woods we will hear and try to see Bonelli’s warbler.

Day 7: Fuente Dé- Cain

Morning exploring the surroundings of Fuente Dé and we will drive to the town small mountain town of Cain, stopping several times on the way. Cain lies in a dead end of the road along the small road we will do many stops looking after new species of orchids and butterflies.

Finally, in Cain, we will spend the afternoon we can take a walk along the most popular walking trail in the whole Picos. We will follow the nice river to we come to a dramatic area where the cliff come close to the river.

We will stay in a small nice mountain hotel.

Da 8: Transfer Cain-Bilbao

We have a full morning around Cain, before we will drive slowing back. We have a lot of time to do stop along the road for birds, orchids etc.

We will arrive Bilbao around 4 PM time enough to you home flight.
